I am not a big vacation fan. I prob would be happy going away only once every couple years if not at all. My husband said he didn't care about vacations a couple of years ago, but now is starting to like going on them and tries to get me to go on more.
I would much whether spend money on other things then vacation, however I do know they say you are happier spending money on experiences then things so we are starting to go on more. My husband owes a landscape business, therefore he buys a lot of materials for jobs that go on his credit card (which we pay off every month... except for one car which has a 0 percent interest rate with about 6,500 on it that we are keeping on a balance on right now since we are not paying interest) The credit card gives him 1 percent back in reward money on all his purchases, because he spends a very large amount for his clients we get quite a bit of reward money, which I now consider our vacation fund. So we have about 2,000? dollars maybe a year to go on vacation and I try to put it all towards vacations instead of things. Therefore I don't feel that guilty about spending money on vacations, it also allows us to budget for vacations, although I do believe we are going be slightly over our allotted amount this year.
