adidas pants brought for 12 dollars
approx 3.50 in ebay fees and paypal fees
7.50 shipping (still very high- going to research how to ship for cheaper)
profit: 4.50
Total profit from all sales approx: 5.00
So although this was a higher profit- still not the kind of profit I am shooting for- I think 10 dollars an item is what I am aiming for- at this point I am just trying it out so only putting about two things up a week for sale- don't want to make a big investment to something that might not work.
What about using flat rate priority boxes? I assume you are insuring your items and you might want to consider dropping the insurance. But this one was better than the last one so your moving in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI am not insuring the items- the flat rate boxes the size it would fit in was 12 dollars- the 5 dollar box is so small and the men's large adidas pants I sold would not even come close to fitting in there. I am moving in the right direction but shipping does seem very high, but I am learning to charge more for shipping.
ReplyDeleteI think unless you have a lot of time that this is not a very feasible way to turn a profit. Although I can understand wanting to get rid of things that are hanging around and heck if you can make a profit go for it. If you are trying to get out of debt or a re trying to get more to redo the house, the turn over will have to be greater. Good luck!
